As we have a change around at the practice we are delighted with our new 'wall of fame' showcasing our awards from over the last 11 years. We are very proud of our achievements and some great memories with staff past and present. 

We are super excited to launch our 'Ghyllmount Gallery' showcasing the beautiful photography of Roy Fleming https://www.royfleming.co.uk/
We have moved our awards from the stairs and corridors to a new 'Wall of Fame' and replaced them with Roy's photographs. When normal service resumes, hopefully you will have more time to enjoy them. They are of course available to buy. 

We had some great entries for our National Smile Month childrens competition. After looking through them all very carefully we have picked a winner for the best poem and the best picture. Here are the winning entries. Well done and thank you so much to everyone for entering

As you will all know the use of face masks in shops becomes mandatory from Friday 24 July and we have decided to roll that out at Ghyllmount too. So when you visit us please bring a mask along with you*

We do have masks available if you don't have one and we will ask for a donation of £1.00 which will be given to the Charity Bright Red. We have a collection box at the door.

In support of our hygienist Louise who continues with her treatment, Our chosen charity this year is Bright Red which supports people having treatment for blood cancer.

After all of her efforts throughout lockdown dental nurse Leanne has had the recognition she absolutely deserves, by having an article printed in Dental Nursing Journal. We are all so proud of Leanne for the videos she created and think she did a wonderful job

Last Friday we were one of the first Practices to be inspected by the CQC under the new Covid Emergency Support Framework.
This involved an in depth online discussion with the Inspector and we received our report today.
In the words of the Inspector we are " Doing an amazing job and you should be incredibly proud of yourselves and your staff. Lucky patients to have such a great service."

We are all pleased to be back at work and opening our doors for more routine treatment. 

Dentistry as we knew it will be a lot different and all of our staff need to adapt to our new ways of working. We really would appreciate everyone's patience at this time.

We are now in a position to book examination and hygiene appointments too, so give us call or email. We are ready and waiting for you!

Heather and Angela from Eden Mencap were consulting with us at Gyllmount Dental, discussing ways to make a visit to the dentist more comfortable for people with Autism. Some great suggestions made today. Thanks Heather amd Angela for your insight.

The team at Ghyllmount would like to reassure all patients and visitors that we are taking all precautions to keep our patients and staff safe during the coronavirus outbreak. You will notice some changes as you visit the practice;

On booking appointments and entering the practice you will be asked a series of questions. We are now screening all patients and visitors.

We are pleased to offer an additional temperature screening service at Ghyllmount and we would be happy to take your temperature before your appointment. 

We would ask that if your appointment is non urgent and you are feeling unwell around the time of your appointment that you consider rearranging for another time.

We are cleaning the surfaces, banisters and door handles at regular intervals throughout the day.

We have hand sanitisers for your use when entering and exiting the building. (We would be grateful if you do not remove the hand sanitisers as we don't have a limitless supply)

For the moment,we have removed the magazines from the patient lounge to avoid across infection from them.
